Our Landscape Design Process

  • Meet with our design team face to face or online to discuss your ideas and requirements for your garden. Following the consultation, we will provide you with a quotation to complete the design. After your consultation, the team will send a design fee proposal. This will outline the costs for producing your garden concept, including sketches and masterplan; this does not include any construction costs.

    This consultation takes between 1-2 hours and will incur a fee.

  • Once the fee is accepted the Green Door team will explore hand sketched options and alternatives of your garden and then create a scaled concept plan that shows plant images, schedule and material choices.

  • Upon approval of the concept design, we develop your design to include plant species, furniture, hard surfaces and materials etcItem description

Construction Drawing Package

For more detailed projects, we prepare construction drawing packages including detailed schedules and design specifications.

Landscaping Coordination

We do not provide landscaping services ourselves, but can recommend trusted landscaping contractors we have worked with before you help bring your design to life.

You are welcome to engage a landscaper directly yourself, or if required you can engage Green Door to oversee this process to ensure everything goes smoothly and according to plan.

    • Detailed Planting Plans – If you’d like a clear, professional planting guide, we can create a scaled layout with plant positions, spacing, and care notes.
